Frequently asked questions about our intermediate/advanced sessions

I've only done one or two introductory sessions, is it too early for the advanced course?

Not at all! If you already know how to stand up on the board in the foam and want to go a little further (wave catching, direction, stability), you’re in exactly the right place. This course is designed to help you make your first real progress.

Will I be surfing "real" waves?

Yes, but at your own pace! We often start with reformed foam or small smooth waves to work on technique gently. The aim is to gradually give you more independence on waves that haven’t broken.

Are there different levels in the group?

Yes, but the groups are organised by level so that everyone progresses in the best possible conditions. You’ll be with surfers of an equivalent level, supervised by an instructor who adapts the advice to each individual.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

This is not compulsory. Everything is included: board and wetsuit adapted to your level. But if you already have your own equipment, you can of course use it – the instructor will also be able to advise you on it.

What if the conditions are too difficult for my level?

Our instructors are there to put you in the right place and adapt the session. If the conditions are really complicated, we’ll adjust the time, the spot or the content of the lesson so that you progress safely.
